In New Zealand we have greenstone, also known as Pounamu. Is a type of Jade found in the South Island rivers of New Zealand. It is a captivating crystal, known for its exclusivity, durability and deep milky. Pounamu plays a very important role in Māori culture.  Is known as the God Stone. Traditionally, Maori have embraced this stone as a talisman and believed in its spiritual powers to evoke strength and prosperity, to protect, express love and kinship, and to depict growth and harmony.

Jade is the traditional zodiac stone for those born in the heart of spring under the sign of Taurus, from April 20 – May 20.
